Dr. Öğretim Üyesi Ayimgül Uzunyol

Ayimgül Uzunyol had completed her undergraduate education in 2003 at the Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Life Sciences and Technology, Xinjiang University (Xinjiang / China), and had completed graduate education in 2007 with the project titled ‘‘Primary study on the flavonoids of the Lepisorus albertii Ching in Xinjiang,China’’ within the scope of Xinjiang Natural Science Fund at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Institute of Life Sciences and Technology, Xinjiang University.

After her graduate studies, she had worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Traditional Uyghur Medicine, Xinjiang Medical University (Xinjiang / China). She had worked as a researcher and principle investigater in China’s national projects until 2012, and had published papers in national and international scientific journals. During this period, she had joined the projects titled ‘‘Study on the Classification of Coronary Heart Diseases by the Abnormal Humour Theory of Traditional Uighur Medicine and its Relationship with Endothelium Function and Correlative Gene Polymorphism’’, ‘‘Study on the Classification of Depression by the Abnormal Humour Theory of Traditional Uighur Medicine and its Mechanisms of Neuroendocrine Function’’ as a researcher and had successfully finished the project titled ‘‘Study on the Correlative Gene Polymorphism of Abnormal Savda syndrome and Depression’’ as a principle investigater. In 2012, she won a Turkish Scholarship and started his doctoral education at Kocaeli University, Institute of Science, Department of Biomedical Engineering with a thesis study on ‘‘The Effect of Exogeneous Wild-Type and a Compound- Heterozygote Mutant (Q311R; A371T) Parkin Expressions on Nuclear Proteome’’ within the scope of the TÜBİTAK-1002 project. During her doctorate, she had worked as a researcher in different TÜBITAK projects at Kocaeli University, Clinical and Experimental Research Application and Research Center. In January 2022, she had started working as a faculty member at OSTİM Technical University, Vocational School, Department of Biomedical Device Technology. Between June 2022 and December 2024, she had successfully completed her postdoctoral research project under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih İnci in the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) as a principle investigater of the TUBITAK-2218 project titled ‘‘Investigation of Cytotoxic Effects of SWCNT on Breast cancer cells ( MCF-7 cells) Using Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomic Approach’’. Since 2024, Dr. Ayimgül Uzunyol has been working as a faculty member in the Department of Nanotechnology, Faculty of Engineering, Ostim Technical University. Her main research fields include Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Proteomics, Biomaterials and Cytotoxicity of Nanomaterials.​
